There's Snowplace Like Mammoth

Mammoth Mountain weather has lived up to its claim. It is snowing hard in Mammoth and reports are estimating between 5-7 feet on the mountain and 3-5 feet in the town. Temperatures for skiing are around 15 degrees and it is warmer in the town. the wind has been kicking up so you must dress warm. The wind really isn't so bad as long as it isn't snowing. All lower elevation lifts are running but upper lifts are on a weather hold, which means they are subject to close /open according to the wind. January Midweek Madness starts on Monday 1/7/2008 with parties, bands and discounts all over town, so plan a non weekend trip. You can save bucks if you don't come on the weekend.
