Mammoth Snow & Lots Of It

Since Monday December 17, nearly 4 feet of snow has fallen on Mammoth Mountain. This has covered all the man made snow with beautfiul fluffy powder. With the snowfall, comes the opening of the long awaited Chair 9 Express, the brand new 6 pack, high speed chair replacing the old, and slowest chair on the mountain. For the newbies, Mammoth Mountain ski resort has 3 base lodges, "Main Lodge", "Canyon Lodge" and "Eagle Lodge". The new developments in town center around either the Eagle Lodge area, or the Mammoth Village area which is in Town and between both Eagle and Canyon. Either way, no matter where you stay, you can ski from one lodge to the other with mostly beginner or intermediate runs.
