Mammoth Blanketed By Snow

Mammoth has been blanketed by an early winter season storm with 15-24" falling on Friday night November 20 followed by an awesome blue bird day on Saturday. More snow fell Saturday evening bringing the total up nearly 4 feet and one could say, covering the town and Mountain. It has been snowing all day Sunday bringing the total to about 5 feet of new snow. This is such good news as it will push the opening up of Canyon Lodge to Wednesday of the Thanksgiving holiday. Mammoth Mountain announced that there is enough natural snow now to run Little Eagle chair 15 as well. This is a wonderful start of the ski season since last season at this time, the Eastern Sierra had a little bit of coverage, and the big snow came after the skiers and riders left town. This year there will be a lot to be thankful of. Check otu the Webcams and see.
