Go Hike, River Raft and Lay On The Beach in Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is "the" place for summer vacations in California. The North Shore offers some of the best hiking, river floating and boating with Jet Ski / Sea Doo rentals very popular. The golf courses at Northstar open as soon as the snow melts, and the new course at Squaw Creek is also very challenging. If you're into boating, the newest hot area is Kings Beach and Sand Beach Harbor over on the east side of the lake. However, if you would like to rent a home with a private dock, you're on the west shore.
