400 Inches of Snow in Mammoth

Mammoth Mountain resort got 20 more inches of snow yesterday (3/3/09) which added to the total gives Mammoth over 400 inches of snow this year. Snow continues to dump on Mammoth and that means a long season and great April skiing for spring break.

The powder is everywhere and while not as much as the 33 inches over Presidents this is still a big, big storm. Early morning temperatures are 18 degrees and it will warm up to the low 20s today. Mammoth averages in the high 20 during the Month of March which helps to keep everything fresh. Overall the base is from 11-16 feet depending on where you ski. Hopefully this will help the drought in Los Angeles.
