Mountain Guides

When you go on a trip, it pays to take some folks who "know" with you. They can really enhance your trip. The American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) offers training and assessment for rock and alpine climbing and ski-mountaineering guides in the areas of leadership, judgment, client care, technical expertise, rescue skill, and environmental consciousness, and certifies those individuals who demonstrate a high level of knowledge and ability in all these areas.
