3 days of fun in the sun, beer tasting and blues music like you've never heard before.
The Grand Tasting features the most sought after micro breweries such as Mammoth Brewing Company, the sponsor of the event, Deschutes, Mendocino, Alaskan Bear Republic, Anderson Valley, Anacapa, Stone, Lost Coast, Green Flash, Ballast Point, Kern River, Samuel Adams, San Diego, Fireman's Brew, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, New Belgium and many more.
Visitors get to sample ales, lagers and stouts while listening to an eclectic mix of blues performers. Bluesapalooza features a variety of nationally known blues artists; a mix of styles including acoustic party blues, soul/funk Chicago R&B, Latin Blues, boogie-woogie and jazz tinged blues.
The Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza was started 17 years ago by Sam Walker in the parking lot of Whiskey Creek with just ten breweries and a handful of beer lovers. With BBQ ribs on the grill and a local garage band playing on the roof of the restaurant, it was a fun beginning! The idea behind the event was simple – have fun and introduce Mammoth to the joys of handcrafted beers. The second year we threw in some real blues bands and a lot more breweries and we've never looked back. From these humble beginnings, the festival is now recognized as one of the best beer and blues festivals in the United States. FUN has always been, and continues to be, our top priority!
