There are two ways to go to fly to Mammoth Lakes, California. The easiest way to get to Mammoth via air would be to fly to Reno International Airport, Nevada. Fly and Drive from Los Angeles Airport.

Many more flights fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Often times Europeans and especially Londoners fly for the UK to Los Angeles, and rent a car there. The best rent-a-car agency to drive to Mammoth is Enterprise, since they have an office near Mammoth should you have any automobile difficulties.

Fly & Drive from Reno Airport

. Like Mammoth, Reno Airport has easy access to Mammoth. While not having as many non stop flights as LAX has, Reno is closer by 2.5 hours. When you plan your trip, take into account flight time, and you may find that flying to Los Angeles will fit more with your schedule, even if you have to be in the car a little longer.

Mammoth has had an airport running since 1972, so what's the story> Simply, we just don't have regular commercial service. Most flights to the Mammoth Yosemite Airport are charter planes or private planes. Regular commercial service is scheduled to start Winter 2008 -2009 from Horizon Air and we are all very excited, but till then, try flying to Reno as it is the safest, most secure airport in all weather situations.
